Saturday, May 22nd Seattle Works Day
Join the WSU Alumni Team for a community-wide day of volunteering with a fabulous party at the end! Seattle Works Day brings together teams of co-workers, friends, alumni and other social and professional groups for a fun and easy way to green up Seattle! All projects will take place at urban green spaces - parks, p-patches, and community gardens in Seattle neighborhoods. The cost is $30 and it includes an event day t-shirt and admittance to the After Party. All alumni and friends are welcome and don't forget to wear your Crimson!

To Register: Register at www.seattleworks.org Click on SIGN UP, and then select Option 1 to join the team. In the drop down box, select the WSU Alumni Team and continue with registration

Saturday, May 22nd Summer Cougar Crawl
The 2010 Summer Cougar Crawl is a fun and exciting event to bring your fellow WSU Alums together for a day of Cougar Pride. It will be a great time to introduce new Alums to some of the annual events that the WSU Alumni Association puts on, and remind past Alums why they love being a Coug so much. Call your old Dorm roomies, apartment friends, sorority sisters and fraternity brothers for a day you won’t want to forget!

Cougar Takeover of Lower Queen Anne:

5:00pm - Jabu's
6:30pm - Chopstix (FREE cover all night to anyone on the crawl!)
8:00pm - Ozzie's

*Specials will be provided at each location for those participating in the Crawl.



Friday, June 4th WSU Night at Safeco Field
Bring out your family and friends and join fellow Cougs at Safeco Field to watch some exciting Major League Baseball action! We have a large block of seats reserved for the game, so order your tickets now and join us for a fun night at the ballpark!

To purchase tickets with the group just visit the special webpage: http://www.mariners.com/wsualumni and enter the password WSU. Select your seats and print tickets right from your computer!

View Reserved Seats are $17 (normally $20) for all Cougars, their families and friends. A portion of the proceeds will benefit WSU Alumni Association Programs. If you would like to sit with others that are attending, please place one order for the entire group. Orders are filled on a first-come, first-serve basis and are based on availability. Order Now! Late orders may not be seated with the group.

Friday, June 11th Coug Night with the Tacoma Rainiers
We are teaming up with the Rainiers for a fun night at Cheney Stadium! Join Cougs from the South Sound as the Rainiers battle the Fresno Grizzlies. Be sure to get your ticket for the Muckleshoot Casino Party Deck and enjoy a 90 minute BBQ buffet of hamburgers, hot dogs, baked beans, chips and cookies. This also includes soda, water, beer and wine which will be available from 6pm until the middle of the 7th inning. And you don't want to miss out on the fireworks display following the game. Friday, June 25th Coug Dads & Daughters Night with the Storm

Friday, July 9th 2nd Annual Wine Symposium
Forget the Franzia, toss the Two Buck Chuck, and leave the Livingston behind; it’s time for the 2nd Annual Cougar Wine Symposium, July 9th, at the Columbia Tower Club. Whether you’re a card-carrying oenophile, or just want to enjoy some fine wines, the amazing view from the CTC and the Seattle summer, this is a great opportunity to learn more about the alumni-owned wineries, sample products, and mingle with fellow Cougs that share your vigor for vino. The WSU Alumni Association invites you to share an afternoon of fun with fellow Cougars at the Seventh Annual King County Cougar Open. Players of all skill levels are encouraged to participate. Sign up by yourself or with friends. If your group is larger than four, we will be happy to place your groups next to each other. We look forward to seeing you at the course this summer. *Space is limited, please register early to secure your spot.

Saturday, Aug 28th WSU Day at the Sounders , pre-game event
Come join fellow WSU Alumni before the Sounders Game as they take on the Chicago Fire on Saturday Aug. 28th at 5PM. King Street Bar and Oven is located across the street from the North Parking Lot of Qwest Field and has everything you need before a game (including a brick firewood stove pizza oven). That’s right, some of the best pizza in Seattle will save you a couple bucks on food in the stadium. One last reason to come, we will be raffling Brown Bear Car Wash tickets @ 6:30 only $1/each raffle ticket. So don’t get caught in a line at another place - see you at King Street Bar and Oven!

Times: Vary by day, but generally 8am - 4pm
The 31st U.S. Senior Open is coming to Sahalee Country Club in Sammamish, Washington this summer! Seattle’s home town golf legend, Fred Couples is the honorary chairman and there are already many of the worlds top golfers set to tee off. Come and see Greg Norman, Tom Lehman, Fred Funk, Jay Haas, Tom Watson, Fuzzy Zoeller and Mark O’Meara. It’s a great chance to get involved or get out on the course for a week of exciting competition. Tickets are on sale now and great volunteer positions are still available!
